Flora Ola Limited was established in 2011. The name Flora Ola was derived from two words, Flora meaning plants and Ola which is an acronym of the name of the farm ' Ol- Banata' and the river bordering it.
The farm, located between two rivers at an elevation of 1850 to 1950m above sea level, only planted summer flowers at its inception stage. These included:- Solidago- Golden Glory, various range of new lines of hypericums, China white & red, Limoniums- Safora blue etc, whole range of Anigozantos, Eryngiums, Papyrus, Ammi Visnaga and others. Summers flowers expanded progressively to 27 hectares before a major hailstorm struck in 2014 and led to the subsequent shift to greenhouse flower-farming.
In 2014, the farm ventured into roses and set up 10 hectares for the first phase. The farm has expanded progressively in the production of both standard and spray roses, presently having 13 hectares of standard roses, 20 hectares of spray roses and 4 hectares of summer flowers. Flora Ola continues to invest in new methods of propagation to deliver premium roses and other exclusive varieties of quality flowers.
